Insulation
Using the newest advances in building science, The Roofing Company has looked further into continuous alpine ice damming issues, and we have discovered that heat loss and air leakage is primarily due to improper insulation. An insulation system not only provides thermal comfort but also reduces air leakage, heat loss/gain and can lessen the energy demands of heating and cooling systems. Understanding and preparing your structure for minimal air leakage and proper ventilation in extreme mountain climate can greatly decrease energy bills and prevent ice damming issues. Other factors such as allergies caused by dust, insect and rodent infestations can also be minimized by a proper insulation system.
As specialists in building design and green construction, we provide inspections, solutions and peace of mind about your entire building envelope.
Rocky Mountain Spray Foam (RMSF) specializes in insulation and waterproofing methods that are energy efficient as well as earth friendly. RMSF offers many products and approaches to insulating your home from foundation to roof. RMSF can customize a system for you.
By taking a systems approach and combining building science expertise, a dedication to personalized customer service, and a talented team, Rocky Mountain Spray Foam & Waterproofing has proven itself as one of Colorado's premier insulation and waterproofing contractors.
SPRAY FOAM INSULATION – OPEN CELL AND CLOSED CELL
Spray foam insulation is the fastest growing segment of the insulation industry. It improves indoor air quality and creates a healthier living environment by reducing airborne dust, air pollutants, and airborne noise. Open cell and closed cell foams create an air barrier that stops air leakage. This helps the space perform to the highest energy efficiency by reducing the needs of heat and air-condition up to 20%, therefore reducing energy cost. Unlike conventional insulating materials, both products maintain their integrity with no loss of R-Value as they age and are also energy star rated and "green".
Open Cell Spray Foam (Low Density)
• Applied as a liquid and expands within seconds to 120 times its volume, ensuring full cavity insulation
• Effective Barrier to airborne sounds i.e. great for a nursery, bedroom, etc.
Closed Cell Spray Foam (Medium Density)
• Expands 20-30 times its liquid volume, has little to no waste and provides the highest R-values per inch
• Adds structural integrity
• Ideal application for wet or damp locations
• Effective Barrier to airborne sounds i.e. great for a home near busy streets, trains, noisy neighborhoods, etc.

BLOWN-IN INSULATION SYSTEMS
JM Spider™ is a custom fiberglass insulation system that is used in conjunction with an adhesive ensuring gap free coverage that will not settle over time and enhances the thermal and acoustical performance (sound barrier) of a structure. This fiberglass insulation is formaldehyde-free and is manufactured from 20% post consumer recycled materials, making it a "green" product and also energy star rated. Along with its ability to increase energy efficiency, JM Spider™ is cost effective and has very little waste.
Climate Pro loose fill fiber glass insulation system is another insulation system that we offer. It is a cost effective approach to increasing R-Values to existing structures and the product is formaldehyde-free. It is ideal for installation in open attics and hard to reach areas. The Roofing Company can provide custom, hybrid and retrofit insulation systems to get you the highest R-Values possible to fit within your budget.

R-Value Comparison Chart-
An R-value specifies insulation's resistance to heat flow, the greater the R-value, the better the insulation effectiveness.
