Flat Roofs

Single Ply or Low Slope

We install TPO, EPDM, Hot Rubber, Hot Asphalt Torch Applied, and Composite Waterproofing Systems. The Roofing Company is also certified with Carlisle for installing their Green Roofing Systems. These products solve many design challenges in the building process, resulting in a higher quality product in a shorter period of time.

Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO)

Thermoplastic single-ply roofing membranes are among the fastest growing commercial roofing products and have gained broad industry acceptance for their many performance and installation advantages. As demand increases for heat-reflective and energy efficient roofing systems, thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) single-ply roofing membranes continue to provide exceptional resistance to ultraviolet, ozone and chemical exposure.

Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM)

Durability, design versatility and installation ease are among the many reasons ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) is the most popular material for both new and re-roof low-slope roofing applications. Firestone's single-ply EPDM roofing systems are based on a high-performance synthetic rubber compound that provides outstanding weathering characteristics in climates worldwide. From office buildings and distribution warehouses to hospitals and schools, Firestone has an EPDM roofing solution that's right for you.

Fibertite

Since 1979, there has never been a membrane failure with a FiberTite® Roofing System. Even after exposure to rooftop elements for many years, FiberTite continues to out-perform competitive products. In frigid temperatures, prolonged UV exposure, high wind uplift, chemical and fatty acid buildup, FiberTite remains flexible and strong. It continues to resist puncture and tears. And it continues to reinforce its reputation as the world's finest roofing membrane.

Green Roof

Established in Europe, Green Roofs are known to be both functional and aesthetically appealing, when the correct system design and products are applied. These roofs offer sustainability and energy efficiency while adding plant life in populated areas. Green roofs meet the objects of many of the mandates to improve air quality of cities by mitigating the effects of "Urban Heat Island" caused by ever increasing development.

Metal Roofs

Metal roofs are becoming more popular not only for their benefits but also for their curb appeal. Metal roofs are lighter, easier to maintain and more fire resistant than most shingles. Customization on metal roofs is endless! We can design unique and classic roofs with a range of rusting techniques.

Corrugated Metal
Corrugated metal for roofing A corrugated metal roof is a structural sheet of metal that is shaped in parallel furrows and ridges for strength and durability

Corrugated Metal Types:
• Pre-finished - galvanized sheet that has a Kynar painted finish, which is available in many different color options.
• Rugged Rib - panels are formed at high tensile strength, 29-guage steel, which is then protected with a Galvalume Coating. A state of the art siliconized polyester paint system is then applied, providing a limited paint warranty.
• Rusting - panels are formed from high tensile strength, 29 gauge steel, however the metal is not galvanized, which allows the metal roof to rust.

Standing Seam
Standing seam metal for roofing The term standing seam is used to refer to almost any kind of metal roof panel with a raised vertical seam. Strictly speaking, however, it only indicates those metal panels that interlock or are seamed together vertically, above the panel's pan. Standing Seam can be used as architectural elements to highlight roof aesthetics and accent a building's architecture, or add structural characteristics to the metal roof.

Standing Seam Types:
• Architectural - usually installed on steeper slopes with relatively shorter panel lengths.
• Structural - are versatile metal panel systems that can be used on both steep and low sloped roofs and are designed to be water resistant.

Custom Metal
Custom metal for roofing The Roofing Company can customize any piece of metal from standing seam to cold rolled by using different rusting agents as well as using our state the art metal shop to fabricate any metal to fit the needs of your home.

Custom Metal Types:
• Copper - offers an endless assortment of architectural possibilities because of its long term durability, value retention, and freedom of maintenance.
• Zinc - used for centuries in Europe and is relatively new in America. • Zinc is durable, flexible, and malleable and has longevity. Zincs characteristics make it a great material to enhance and expand the creativity of any homeowner.
• Pre-Treated Rusting - whether it's standing seam panels, corrugated panels or most any other cold steel product, we can customize a rusted panel to fit your needs.
• Metal Clad (copper clad) - asphalt that has a metal cover over the top of the shingle. Tegola shingles are the most common shingle. They are asphalt based with a copper covering!

Roof Accessories

Gutters & Downspouts
Copper gutters and downspout Gutters and Downspouts
Gutters and Downspouts work as a system to drain ice, snow and rain water from your roof. In the mountains gutters not only divert rainwater, but also prevent ice buildup in front of homes in the winter. All Gutters and downspouts that The Roofing Company installs are seamless, which means that there is just one gutter with no sections. This prevents water from leaking at the seams and also prevents ice buildup in the winter.

Rolled form gutters Rolled Form Gutters
Rolled form gutters are the standard at The Roofing Company. These gutters are run through a portable seamless gutter machine, which is capable of producing residential grade 5" K-Style gutters from steel, aluminum and copper. This allows The Roofing Company to roll any custom length creating a seamless gutter system to fit the needs of your house.

Custom gutters Custom Gutters
The Roofing Company can fabricate gutters to meet design standards and needs. We can also order Manufactured Custom Gutters that allow a more custom detailed gutter and downspout system.

Soffit & Fascia
Metal soffits and fascia Soffit & Fascia
Metal soffits and fascia protect those hard-to-maintain, tough to paint areas of your home, places where water and decay do their dirty work. We install complete soffit and fascia using custom metals and colors. Some insurance companies may reduce the cost of your premium because of the reduced fire risk that soffit and fascia can provide. There is no need to paint and our metal soffit and fascia have a 20-year paint warranty.

Shingles

Asphalt roofing shingles Asphalt Roofing Shingles
Asphalt shingles are popular because of the number of options available. These shingles are made with a fiberglass core, which gives them flexibility as well as some fire resistance (depending on the shingle type).

Composite roofing material Composite Roofing Materials
Made from innovative composite materials that are robust, fire resistant, and enduring, Composite Slate and Shake offer the natural beauty of real slate with the performance of Lamarite®. The shingles also provide extensive design versatility to individualize the look.

Steel roofing shingles Steel Roofing Shingles
With styles like slate, wood, and tile, and a full array of colors including a Cool Color selection, METALWORKS® Steel Shingles are the ideal choice for a wide range of residential and commercial applications. Featuring a four-way locking system for enhanced performance, METALWORKS® Shingles provide an unsurpassed combination of aesthetics and performance.

Snow Management

Heat cable melting snow on roof Heat Cable
Heat cable, usually installed on a roof over the eaves and in gutters and down spouts, allows for water to drain through ice dams that frequently form on homes in the mountains. These ice dams, which usually form over eaves because there's little heat in those areas, can trap water from melting snow that accumulates higher up on the roof. Once trapped, that water can accumulate and infiltrate through roofs into a home, causing major damage to the interior.

Snow brackets on roof Snow Brackets
Snow brackets are part of a snow retention system used to prevent damage due to the sliding of snow and ice masses that accumulate on roofs during winter months in alpine regions. As snow accumulates and is retained on a roof, it serves as an insulating blanket to promote energy efficiency. Retaining snow on the roof allows even snow melt-off, saving money and limiting the possibility of personal loss.

Snow fence on roof Snow Fence
In alpine regions where snow and ice accumulate in large amounts, snow fences are needed to prevent the movement of upper layers of rooftop snow masses. When combined with properly engineered snow bracket or snow guard systems, TRA-Mage's snow fences are an effective means of retaining snow on a roof. Our snow fences come in a variety of attractive styles. TRA-Mage also makes Custom Snow Fences. Snow Fences are available in copper, paint-lock steel, and painted steel.

Roofing installing Snow Gems Snow Gems
The holding power of Sno-Barricade snow guards comes from the innovative Gem Clamp - an engineered functional form. Its unique design raises the bar to create an efficient, snow-stopping profile. Easy to install, Sno-Barricade snow guards are designed for new or existing standing seam roof systems. They fit all standard and most custom profiles.

Alpine Snow Guards
Snow Guards are rooftop devices that allow snow and ice to drop off in small amounts or melt completely before falling to the ground. Alpine SnowGuards prevent damage caused by avalanching snow and ice while enhancing the beauty of any roofing system. Historically used with slate roofs, snow guards are a practical, cost-effective addition to any sloped roof in cold-weather areas.

Solar Panel Systems

Alternate energy and higher energy efficiency is the way of the future, and here at The Roofing Company we are moving right along with the times. Using a solar system on your roof has many benefits, the most popular being energy savings. As the solar system collects energy from the sun, it reduces your building's need for traditional forms of energy and in some instances may be able to completely free you of your traditional energy needs. Solar panel systems are also environmentally friendly and require very little maintenance.

The government is also getting on board with solar, offering new incentive programs, solar bills and putting lists together of qualified solar system contractors. To find out more about possible tax incentives, please call the office and ask to speak with Mandie Rangel.

So…why choose The Roofing Company as your solar system installer? As a roofing contractor, we are experts in how a roofing system performs the best. With this knowledge we can install a solar system that compliments the performance of your roof and does not void your material warranty. We are also roofing specific insured for workers comp and liability.

Through our solar research we have expanded our knowledge and can assure you that we will provide the highest efficiency solar panels along with an aesthetically pleasing design. Our staff is trained by Colorado's finest, Solar Energy International (SEI).

The Roofing Company has always stood for high performance products and quality workmanship. We will continue with this in the designing of solar energy systems and help to provide the most efficient ROI for our customers.

Underlayment

Roofing underlayment Dry In Underlayment
A roofing underlayment is typically a rubberized membrane that goes under shingles to prevent water penetration. It is the one piece of a roofing system that is expressly designed to be waterproof. Without a self-adhered underlayment, water from wind-driven rain or ice dams can infiltrate under your shingles and severely damage your roof—or even worse, the inside of your home.

Venting

House with cold roof system Cold Roof
In cold weather areas, particularly in mountain regions that experience very heavy snowfall, the cold roof system is recommended. The idea behind a cold roof system is to allow a constant flow of cold air above the insulation but below the roofing material. Allowing cold air to circulate prevents snow on the roof from melting when the outside temperature is 22* F or colder. When it is warmer than 22*F outside; melted water that is on the roof usually will not refreeze on the cold eaves.

Roof with a Boston Vent Boston Vent
A Boston vent is a structural framed ridge mounted ventilation system on a house or building that allows proper ventilation to occur. The Roofing Company will flash and roof the vent to match the existing roof system. The Boston Vent allows air exhaust out of the ventilation cavity.
